A Note to Friends & Family

This place belongs to all of us.

Every photo, story, and quiet little quote you share becomes part of Jody's ongoing story here. There's no right way to remember her — funny, tender, loud, or sideways, it all belongs.

Drop something in. We'll gather it gently.

Her Story

Jody Anne Welch

June 26, 1965 — January 16, 2026

Beginnings

Born June 26, 1965, in Denville, New Jersey, to Scott and Henrietta Welch (née Biamonte) — the spark of a life that would touch so many.

Her Work, Her Calling

A degree in Early Childhood Education led her to open The Learning Tree daycare and later serve as Principal of Lehigh Valley Lutheran School. She also worked alongside family at Bowers, Schumann & Welch Insurance, and practiced as a Licensed Massage Therapist. Wherever she went, she nurtured.

Mother. Grandmother. Heart of the family.

Above all else, Jody was a mother — boundless, unconditional, fierce about her three sons, Ryan, Huntington, and Zachary. Her grandchildren — Miles, Charlotte, Maria Jose, and Maria Angel — were her pure joy.

Her Courage

Diagnosed with breast cancer in 2009, she met it with optimism and stubborn determination. With her brother Todd's help, she charted a self-directed path that blended leading oncology with holistic care, defying the odds for years to stay with the family she loved.

The Small Moments

She had a creative spirit — art, photography, a quick laugh. She found joy in the small things, even on the hard days. That, more than anything, is what she leaves with us.

Predeceased by her parents and her brother Glen. Survived by her sons Ryan (Kaitlyn), Huntington (Hannah), and Zachary (Adriana); her grandchildren Miles, Charlotte, Maria Jose, and Maria Angel; and her brother Todd.
